In the recently concluded People's Democratic Party Presidential Primaries where the Former Vice President of Nigeria emerged as the winner, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Adeleke Samuel Popular known as Clarks, also made a giant stride in becoming the youngest delegate in the Party's history.

Clarks, one of The Oyo state trailblazing politicians has described the recently concluded Primary has one that will be remembered in history for a long time as the most peaceful and generally encouraging because it shows how fast our democracy is growing as compared to other years.

During his media chat with Oyo Mind, he said, "I always wish elections can be as free and fair and peaceful as this and want other parties to emulate from us, it is a great thing to show and encourage how fast our democracy as grown in the 23 years of democracy.

I am very sure our great party is going to win the fast approaching general election, the development of our Dear Nation which has been put on hold is going to be encouraging as we will strictly adhered to our manifestos.

He also eulogized Governor Seyi Abiodun Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State over his believes and decision to build and encourage youth in governance. Oyo 2023 ICT Expert, Temitope Borode Endorses Folarin for Governor

Engr. Temitope O. Borode has endorsed the Senator representing Oyo Central senatorial district, Teslim Folarin for the coming 2023 gubernatorial election.

Temitope who is a Senior Technology Executive at JIMTOP Nigeria Limited posited that Folarin has the interest of the state at heart. According to him, Folarin exuded an outstanding sense of responsibility and service to the state while representing the state as a senator.

Speaking further on his confidence in Folarin, the Information and Communication Technology Consultant added that Folarin has the political will and experience to lead the state to a greater height in the years to come.

Recall that Folarin began his political career in 2003 when he was elected a senator representing Oyo Central under the Peoples Democratic Party at the age of 39.

Folarin who was later re-elected in 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress had in 2014 contested the gubernatorial election which he lost to the former governor, Abiola Ajimobi. He, however, holds the record as the only legislator in Oyo State who has served three terms in the Senate.

The Ibadan business mogul, Kehinde Ogunniyi has officially declared his desire to run for the office of the Governor of Oyo State in the 2023 election.

Ogunniyi declared his ambition at the Bodija axis of the state on Monday, 9th of May, 2022. Ogunniyi who is a serial entrepreneur disclosed that his intrinsic sense of responsibility, love for the people of Oyo State as well as a passion for development and empowerment are his driving motives for coming forward.

Speaking further on his plans for the state, Ogunniyi who boasted of being a youth commended the sacrifices of the past administrations. He however noted that the old folks of the past administration who have given their best need to be retired since their best is not in tandem with the current realities of a forward-looking nation.

According to him, his education plans are geared toward ensuring that no students are denied access to quality education and infrastructure in the state. He further noted that his administration will leverage the agricultural potential of the state to produce enough food and earn foreign exchange to further develop the potential of the state. He emphasized that, if elected, he will empower over 500,000 youths in the agricultural sector thereby drastically reducing the unemployment rate in the state
